What are your thoughts on Tuna and Tuna Melts. I have been craving a good Delhi tuna melt, but I am not sure if its something that is safe for they baby at this point. Thoughts? I have Googled this and received conflicting info.
Im not sure what would not be safe? Though i make them at home, i have a small can of tuna, cheese, and whole wheat toast with pickles and tomatoes and toast it all in the toaster oven. All i know is to limit your weekly intake of fish.
FIsh is a food that has pluses and minuses related to pregnancy. Certain types of fish are a good source of DHA (brain food for growing babies), and some have relatively high mercury content. Tuna is one that is high in mercury, so you should limit consumption. I like the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch for info on fish and shellfish.

ETA - Limiting consumption doesn't mean avoiding it altogether. Enjoy in moderation.
