So, I'm officially on bed rest now at. 37 weeks. My blood pressure has been elevated for the last week. They tested my urine twice and had protein in it both times. Now I have to start the 24 hour urine collection in the AM. Then they will determine whether I have Pre-eclampsia or not.
Is anyone else experiencing this or have any experience with it. I'm kinda freakin out, especially when you read stuff online about pre-eclampsia. Last thing I wanna read about it maternal and infant mortality right now.

Re: Pre-eclampsia
Don't use the internet for your medical information.
Bahaha now listen to me because this doesn't count as internet medical information. I was diagnosed a few weeks ago after showing elevated protien levels and BPs. I'm on Procardia twice a day and my BPs have gone down and the protien is no longer present. I have weekly u/s and NST now to make sure the baby is still getting adequate blood flow through the placenta but everything looks perfect right now.
It's scary but it doesn't mean that you or the baby are in immediate danger. Luckily when they catch it early it is easily controlled and more babies are born healthy than not.
Last night at work ( I work in an ER) I got a headache, nausea, vomiting, and swelling in my hands and feet so I was seen. Protein in my urine and my BP was high.....so I was put on bed rest and told to see my doctor today.
My appointment is at 2, Im also feeling very overwhelmed and anxious!!!!
Keep me updated on how you are, if you wanna chat let me know
I understand what you are feeling.
