So, I've made it almost 40 weeks of a pregnancy without hearing unsolicited advice from strangers (family/friends, not so lucky) - until today. I go to WalGreens in hopes that they will have milk and not be as busy as the grocery store. What I get instead is a crazy checker who procedes to ask, of course, "When is the baby coming?" I say, "Anytime now, I guess that's really not up to me." Which she finds really funny for whatever reason and then she tells me all about how I should go home and have sex or masturbate. Thank you lady. I'm sure your boss would love to hear that you tell customers to go home and masturbate. Excellent. Please give me my milk so I can get away from you.
Additionally, three (THREE) drivers in the parking lot don't seem to know right from left and were on the wrong side of the "road". The big yellow arrows didn't seem to clue them in. I've decided I'm staying at home until this baby gets here! If not, I might have to discuss my sex life with strangers or end up run over in a parking lot!
Re: Unsolicited advice at Walgreens
Possibly it's a Tulsa thing! I live in another Tulsa suburb and I have gotten a lot of questions, but never such blunt outbursts reqarding my sex life! Although many, many people seem to feel it necessary to share about THEIR sex life/pregnancies.
Gross! I would have turned beat red and looked at her like she was crazy, which she was.
I have received so much unsolicited advice and stairs that I simply have stopped making eye contact with people, even my cashiers, and I probably seem like the un-friendliest, grumpiest prego ever (which I am bordering on) but I am sick and tired of everyone!!!! Including my own family's comments at times!
