Infertility

I had 18 vials of blood drawn this morning and....

I didn't pass out! :) I'm going ahead and checking for everything possible before my insurance runs out this year!

I wish I would have thought to make a copy of the lab slip so all you smart ladies could help me interpret what everything was, but of course I didn't think of that until it was too late. I'm pretty sure my RE is checking for autoimmune disorders, clotting disorders, STDs (for my upcoming IVF), karotyping, etc...

Anyway, there is no real point to my post, I just thought it was crazy to have that much blood drawn at one time and knew you guys would know exactly how I feel!

I hope the board is having as good a day as yesterday.... off to catch up on posts.

History of IF and 2.5 years TTC. The day we were to start our first IUI we received a call that changed our lives forever and 10 month old Olivia joined our family. Shortly thereafter we got a surprise BFP and baby 2 is due July 5, 2012

  • That's a ton of blood drawn, I know how you feel....back in July I had 21 vials of blood drawn.  My new RE (2nd) wanted to test for anything and everything before starting any treatments.  Sure it was expensive, thank goodness for insurance....but the good news it that everything came back normal and that was another thing we could check off the list of why we are not getting PG.

I hope you did something great for yourself today!!
