9 month appt and tubes??

My DD had her 9 month appt today and it was also a follow up for her double ear infection.  She took 2 rounds of antibiotics in September and October orally and it still didn't clear up her ears so in November they started a round of 3 shots.  And when we went back today the right ear is still infected!!! So we have to go to an ear, nose, and throat specialist to talk about tubes Crying Has anyone had tubes put in??

OH and a little AW: She was 22 lbs 9 oz and 29 inches long!

We haven't done it yet, but its scheduled for Dec 28th.

Our ENT is great, and we are actually pretty excited about this, as we've been told that without them, the fluid build up can lean to permanent hearing loss - he's already failed a hearing exam! :(

DD is getting them in January- she will be just over 12 months old- its no big deal- and usually they have really good results.

I dont have any advice but we are going through the exact same thing. LO is now on his 4th antibiotic over 6 weeks for ear infections. So we have an ENT appt. for 12/14 to discuss tubes. From everything I hear its a good idea to do it now so their hearing is not affected and its a pretty easy procedure.
