(Sorry about the hickup): Story of my life....uuuggghh

...my new journey:

So the last time I was ever in any of these boards was almost 8 months ago when I announced a BFP for the second time around with the help of Clomid (April 2010). Well, guess what, all my dreams were shut down ONCE AGAIN!! The nightmare began, on May 12th 2010 when I began to spot. Earlier that day I drove from NJ to Washington D.C. and met up with DH. I told him what had happened and he immediately took me to the ER where they found a fetus but no HB. We ended up going back home to NJ where on May 15th, 2010 I m/c'd naturally and passed the sac. That was very devastating to me.

So ever since then DH and I have been trying to conceive and haven't been successful. At this point I took the initiative to tell my OBGYN what I should do and recommended me to a couple of RE places. DH and I came across RMA of NJ and we had our first consultation yesterday Nov. 29th where my world came tumbling down. Here we found out that I was diagnosed with PCOS. So here I am today torn and depressed because it is all new to me. RMA was very helpful and gave me a packet for my new journey. It was very overwhelming and I feel very lost right now. I hope with this new journey I am able to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. Crying

I am so sorry for your losses, and have to say that I love RMA.  I go to the NY office.  Everyone is SO wonderful, from the staff to the nurses to the doctors.  I hope you have the same experience in NJ.  You are in very capable and caring hands.  The first person I knew with PCOS was treated there and had a successful IVF cycle and then a second child without intervention.  I wish you lots of good luck!

I'm so sorry for your loss and struggles.  PCOS is not the end of the world, like pp said.  I know many women who have been dx with it and went on to have healthy pregnancies and take home babies.  I wish you lots of luck!!

Welcome, I am sorry you have to be here.

Try not to stress about the PCOS.  You will find a lot of us are right there with you in that diagnosis (me!), but I know it is overwhelming.

Thank you sooo much ladies....you have all been very supportive and look forward in going through this journey with you all. As for questions, I went early this morning to get blood work done and they took about 20 viles of blood out of me which got me very exhausted since I had to fast since last night. Is that part of procedures, to suck out all your blood the first day....I've been feeling very tired. Is this how the procedure will be? Bloodwork? Xrays? Once again, I'm very thankful to have you all in my life and share this journey with you all. ((hugs))

Welcome to the board. I am so sorry for everything you have been through and endured. As other pp have said, pcos is not the end of the world. I haven't experience it personally, so maybe I'm not entitled to say. But my SIL just got her bfp 2 weeks ago, and she has pcos and has been on fertility meds for 3 months, and has been trying 9 months in total. Again, I'm sorry for your losses. I hope you find a lot of support here, as I have.

Welcome to the board! I'm sorry for your loss. Don't stress too much about your dx... at least you know what is wrong now and can work towards treating it. My friend with PCOS and MFI is 34 weeks today so it can still happen. She went to RMA too and I actually have an appointment with them on Thursday... funny.
