TTC After a Loss

Charting Question

So, I promised myself I would put myself out of misery and NOT chart while TTC again, but I am finding it next to impossible.  Although the doctor said I can't TTC again until January, I wanted to start charting now to have a good idea come January what is going on with my body.  So, my question for you ladies is, when you say AF came X days after your m/c, how are you calculating that?  X days after you stopped bleeding from your m/c?  Or X days from the start of your m/c? Assuming you had a natural m/c...

Re: Charting Question

  • I would assume it would be the 1st AF after a m/c.
  • Yes, but I am wondering how people determined how many days after their m/c did they get their 1st AF...From the start of their bleeding of their m/c, or from the first day of no bleeding after their m/c.

  • CD1 is the first day of red flow - so a cycle would be from the first day of red flow, to the next first day of red flow.

  • See, that's what I thought.  But I am a little skeptical on how to determine this when my last start of red flow was my m/c, not a normal cycle. You know? Have any of you used clomid right after you m/c to try to get yourself on a normal cycle right away?  If so, when did you take the clomid?

  • If the clomid is prescribed by a doctor ( in which it should be) than you would follow their instructions. Most have you take it cd3-7 or cd5-9

I did 4 rounds of clomid to get pregnant and didn't respond.

  • Technically a m/c is still the physical shedding of your ute lining, which is why they still consider it CD1 even though it wasn't really part of a "normal cycle".

I am finally on my official 2nd cycle post m/c (after waiting nearly 70 friggin days for my first post m/c AF and needing Provera to induce her) and am now TTCAL with Clomid at 50mg on CD3-CD7.
