How are you feeling?

I suddenly feel enormous.  My DD was only 5.11 at 40 weeks, so I was spoiled by her size.  This baby just seems so big, either that or I'm not remembering how I felt with DD very well.  My belly is so tight and the baby's movements are uncomfortable at times.  I know it only gets worse from here. :)  How are you all feeling?

  • Ive just started to feel uncomfortable during the day but still sleeping like a log at night! I can feel my weight gain now even though I'm told that I am all belly. My knees and feet will ache when I stand to long.

  • Mostly No...all day and night.  The 3rd trimester has been much tougher physically than I thought it would be.

  • I am mostly uncomfortable at night, probably starts around 7:00pm or so. When I sit on the couch I can barely get off of it, I get massive cramps and sleeping that's a whole other issue - it's unreal. My stomach is incredibly tight, but I think I've grown used to it, the worst like I said is at night, after dinner. The baby's movements are really hurting at times, I'm just a human punching bag. LOL.

Also, my heartburn, acid reflux and the burning up my throat needs to go. I have a bottle of Gaviscon on my nightstand, a bottle of mylanta at my desk at work and tums in my purse. I thought I had bad acid reflux before, HA! I was wrong. I'd take my old heartburn over this any day.

  • Sounds like you have what I like to call the "pregnancy amnesia" I'm convinced that after you give birth you forget how hard your pregnancy and labor were!! Keeping my fingers crossed this happens for me!

I feel good this week, but I'm on a week by week basis. Some are good some are bad...it comes in waves.

  • SO crummy today.  i've been having a lot of pain/pressure in my hips, behind, and lady parts, which i know we all have been.  and today is much worse.  it hurts every time i take a step, and forget about getting up from places!  i have to go to work for a few hours this morning though, and then i'm coming back home and crawling back into bed.  or maybe the couch, since that will be easier to get up from.  sigh... not a fan, 3rd tri...not a fan...

  • Im with Nkubon. I get really uncomfortable in the evenings. Belly goes hard, sticks out, things start aching and throbbing. I slow waaaay down.
  • My belly seems to have protruded out a lot in the last week or two.

But I'm feeling overall good, still. Your basic soreness, but nothing worse than what I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of this whole pregnancy thing and I can't wait to not be sore and tired all the time, but it's par for the course.

I definitely put all of these aches and pains in the back of my mind after DD was born.  It's all coming back now though.  I guess I need to start thinking about that infant stage too because it was another difficult time that I haven't thought about in a couple of years.

It might be pregnancy amnesia for me too.  But, I have definitely not forgotten about the difficult first 6 weeks of having a newborn.  DD was colicky and it was a nightmare.  I'm hoping this one goes better. FWIW, after 4 months, she has been super easy and a joy. :)

  • Benedryl is starting to sound like a great idea now in days, I have no problem taking naps but when it comes time go to sleep for the night i just cant fall asleep! LO kicks like no other my lady parts hurt I pee every 2 hours, I can't breathe and my belly feels heavier each week so I use my belt thing pretty much all the time, in NO mood to have sex even more now than ever but that isnt stopping hubby in trying to get lucky! oh and the itching my goodness and to think that it only gets worse....I'm ready for a nap.
  • Very uncomfortable lately. My back is killing me lately and I think it's from sitting in chairs that were made for 3-5 year olds (I'm a preschooler teacher) and they're just not comfortable.

My hips are also hurting horribly especially right away in the morning after being in bed all night.

  • I'm exhausted and uncomfortable and counting down the days! I thinks it's more exhausting the second time when trying to take care of a toddler too.
