  i was on effexor 37.5 and cut down too quickly at first. i called the dr and they told me to take it much slower. i would ween yourself a lot slower than what you did, if you are having a hard time. but whatever the doctor says. i still get dizzy spells from time to time, but they are getting better. hope you feel ok soon.

  I have felt your pain. I was on 60 mg of Paxil too, but got off it cold turkey. Huge mistake. Luckily the withdrawal lasted about 2 weeks, but it did seem like forever and at the time I wasn't preggo yet. You could probably try going by half every other day and see if that helps. Worse comes to worst, call your doc and they can help you with the dosage to ween you off.

  Paxil withdrawal is awful.  I was really sick for about 3 days.  Several years ago, I stopped cold turkey and I felt like I had quit heroine - shaking, sweating, throwing up.

  i was on effexor about 6 months before i got pregnant because i knew it was going to take me months! i've done it before....i couldn't just half them, i had to do like 1/4 at a time....it was terrible.  The slower the better...maybe they can put you on something else, like wellbutrin for the time being...it might help and i think it is one of the safer ones for pregnancy.
