Anyone put their LO's mobile back in crib?

When DS was able to sit up and grab his mobile we moved it way up high (attached to a shelf above his crib).  This morning I moved it back down so that he could push the buttons himself but he kept grabbing the hanging animals and I'm afraid he will break it.  Does anyone have a mobile in their toddler's crib?

  • Ours has the detachable part with the animals and we took that off but the mobile has stayed because there's the music and the pictures project on the ceiling and she loves it!

  • I've never taken DD's down.  I have only seen her stand and play with it maybe once or twice, and she never pulls it she just touches the animals.  She asks me "what's that?" and points to it every time I lay her down so I think she likes it.  She will be in a big girl bed before I need to worry about it I think, if it hasn't been an issue yet I doubt it will be.

  • Oh man, his mobile would be in pieces if he still had it in his crib!

We have one like this.  So ours is up...but just the projection part.  He loves pushing the buttons and making it play.

  • Hers never left. It is a flensted mobile, made of paper and plastic and is not mechanical. It hangs from the ceiling out of her reach.

  • We took down the musical one from the crib but he still has two "old fashioned" ones that hang from the ceiling anything he can get is ruined.
