G was a little over 1. It seemed that when he moved to his new daycare he wanted to hang out on the toddler side more and they do 1 nap only, so he went with their flow. We weren't ready for him to drop his other naps.
Now it seems that he's even trying to drop the 1 nap, and we're def. NOT ready for that one.
Lilly is still taking 2. A while back (about EJ's age), we thought she was ready to drop to 1...she was fighting naps...but I posted here and got some advice and I moved up her first nap by 15 minutes and that was the trick for her.

DD was late to transition-I think she was more like 16 or 17 months old. I loved when she went to one nap though, made it much easier to get out of the house!
Not sure if you saw my previous post, but my daughter is 18 months and just now transitioning. My son was 17 months. Both very late transitioners, I hear.
It really is nice when the go to one... opens up more social activities!!
DD is sort of in the transition now. some days she takes one some days two. I think she sleeps better at night when she takes one so I am pushing for one.
If she looks tired in the morning I put her in the crib but if she just talks and talks then I take her out and do something until 12 ish. Then she takes one and I don't give her another. If she happens to fall asleep in the car, on the way home from something then she gets a brief snooze. The nanny lets her take two more often but I am pushing her to get to one.

rosie usually is a 1nap/day girl but sometimes she'll take 2 short ones (45-60 mins) vs one LONG one (2+ hrs)
she started going to 1 at 13-14 months but here we are at 16 1/2 and just yesterday she took TWO 45 min naps !
