nose bleeds?

Is anyone else having a problem with nose bleeds? It's not a dryness issue, as I definitely have a bunch of mucus up there (ah, a nice lunchtime image, sorry...). Is there something I can do? It's mostly just annoying, not worrisome or anything.

    Me.  I don't get nosebleeds, per se, but I'm very stuffy, and when I blow my nose, it's bloody, daily, for weeks.  My MW said not to worry, that it was a common pregnancy issue.

    Keep an eye on your blood pressure though...seems like I read or heard somewhere that nose bleeds could be a symptom of high blood pressure too...

    I haven't had any during this pregnancy, but I did when I was pregnant with DD#1.  Dr. said not to worry about it.  As pp said..carry tissues!

    I am having this as a terrible problem.  I have extremely bad allergies and sinus issues and due to being pregnant i can not take any of my medications.  I have them in the morning really bad, then by afternoon there not as bad, and evening the are worse yet again.  Dr said to keep an eye of them for me.  My blood pressure seemed good, but he was worried about my having to get surgery for it to stop since when it starts bad it literally runs out of my nose and i can't get it to stop - which i had surgery for before to help it stay closed and stop bleeding.  But if you usually don't have bad problems like i did it is a common pregnancy symptom.

    Me too....though I think the dry air at work may be partially to blame (I get my fiar share of snotty ones too!).  Keep your nose hydrated- OTC Ocean Spray nasal mist or something a few times a day might help.

    I just got my first one ever on sunday...it was a bit freaky because with DD i never had one during pregnancy however this one has been very different. I have had allergies 4ever and they only got worse this pregnancy. You can try using saline spray because in your upper nasal cavity you could be dry and not know it or try a nettie pot (spelling may be wrong), I do take an allergy pill everyday so that may help as well.     Me! Funny story - I blew my nose while going to the bathroom a couple weeks ago and blood came gushing out. It hit my hand and splattered everywhere, including the crotch of my light kahki pants (awesome!). I probably won't have my period for a year and here I am with blood on my pants at work. Anyway, saline spray has been helping me a lot. And I always have tissues. It sucks but it's normal.

    yep, every day! uggh! My MW also said not to worry about it, and my blood pressure was 96/45 or something last time I was there, so no worries there, either...just annoying!
