f/u to my friend found out she`s 30 weeks pg
so she just had her baby.
her original ob`s estimate was about 30 weeks. but by the time she got to her high-risk ob [due to her being so far along] oon friday, she was 2cm; so he said he thought she might be further along than that. she was scheduled for an u/s later this morning to find out for sure.
....and then she went into labor.
two hours later, at 4 this morning, she had an apparently healthy baby boy. the last-minute tests they ran in the hospital put her at about 36 weeks.
she knew she was pregnant for one week and 12 hours.

Wow!!! Well, congratulations to her for having a healthy baby boy! (If I remember correctly, that was a concern of hers given her smoking weed/cigarettes)

I wrote this on her original post, but I actually know someone who didn't know she was pregnant. She went to the hospital with stomach pains, and came home with a baby. Insanity.
i absolutely cannot either. i know her and her bf pretty well, and i think on her end there maaay have been a little denial involved, but not much. but he definitely is not the type to fool himself or her, or cover it up. he truly didn`t notice any changes in her or her body until the day they decided to test. sooo crazy.
so i will use this space to thank you guys for your well wishes
yes, his health was a big concern for he, she did smoke & smoke cigarettes pretty much daily. she`ll obviously be watching his development like a hawk, but he doesn`t have two heads or five fingers 
I just can't picture it. I was pretty thin beforehand - under 120 - and I showed way early. Where do you hide a 36 week old baby when you are skinny?
Most importantly, is the baby healthy, considering her drug use?
yup, she was mad skinny. it`s cold here, so the last couple times i saw her before i knew she was wearing hoodies; but she says once she knew, she popped, she had quite the beach-ball belly but swears it wasn`t there before.
he appears to be healthy and unaffected by the pot, but i`m sure her pedi will be keeping a close eye on him as he grows.
It amazes me how you can not show, but I had a friend years ago that got pregnant in high school, on Friday she was wearing her cheerleading uniform, and delivered (full term) on Monday, she just never popped. She did know she was pregnant though.
a friend went to high school with a girl who didn`t know; she was some kind of athlete, lacrosse or soccer i think, and nobody could tell. she just keeled over one day on the field and delivered right there. she never showed, didn`t gain more than 5 or 10lb.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.
That's insane. I can't imagine the range of emotions she and her SO must be feeling right now. Annnnnnnd everything she NEEDS...like, right now.
I hope the little guy continues to be healthy and she enjoys being a mama.

yes! that was the first thing i said when she told me! i was like "dude, you gotta have a shower like, now!" and she goes, "yeah, my sister and so`s mom want me to have a shower too so they can party, but i need time to adjust." i was like "uh no, you need a shower because you need STUFF. i just did this, babies need a lot of stuff man!"

I'm sorry...call me what you want, flame me...burn me to pieces if you will but I call bullshit on all these stupid 'I didn't know I was pregnant' stories. I think the women have a screw loose or something, there's no way you can be pregnant and not know...that's ridiculous.
i gotta tell ya, it`s hard for me to believe any of them myself. but if there really are women who don`t ever show, and there really are women who get regular periods all through their pregnancy or never get a regular one in the first place [so they don`t miss it].... it`s gotta be possible. i don`t know how you could not notice movement, but maybe if the baby is so tucked in that they don`t show it`s harder to feel.
Gasp! Woah momma! Now is she a larger woman or average or slender? Thats a long time to go without knowing.
I always like on I didint know I was pregnant and its a picture of the girl in a bikini the week before she gave birth and she just looks lightly fluffy.
These little people do require a lot.
Hopefully people can lend her some stuff for the first few weeks.

I was going to ask if she felt the baby moving. The way DD was kicking and doing somersaults in my belly, there would be no way I wouldn't know. That's crazy!!!
