I just got a call from our homestudy worker and she said we should be licensed within the next few weeks. I was hoping for February 20th (my 30th birthday) but she seems confident we will be licensed by the end of December. I'm about to flip my lid with excitement!
Now, I'm on a hunt for a matching pair of (cheap but good quality) twin beds.
Sorry, I just had to share the excitement!

How do you feel about their mattresses?
I don't have an opinion, don't know if I ever had one. We had IKEA bunkbeds when we were little but I have no idea if that's where the mattresses came from, too. Sorry.

YAY!! Congrats to you and your H!
If you want to stay cheap, you can always buy 2 bed frames and 2 mattresses. Then you can always add head boards later if you decide you want them. Big Lots sells mattresses, so does Sams and Costco. I would typically suggest Craigslist but with bed bugs I am afraid to buy anything like a bed from there.
Exactly! That's why I stopped looking for the mattresses on there! I think I found twins for $69 but I don't know if that's a piece or for the set. Seems too good to be true but we'll see. DH and I are going shopping tonight!
My step mom just reminded me about Big lots of mattresses so we might head up there.
Thanks!
That's so exciting!
We got DD's Serta mattress at Sam's and have been very happy with it.
YAY congratulations and I second Ikea. For the price you pay anywhere else you can furnish a whole room!
BTW we share a birthday but I am *cough* older (But I am still 29
)
Haha awww how fun! Well for me it will be 2010 forever. :-)
Congrats!
Also, I really like the IKEA mattress we have in our spare bedroom. Sometimes I nap in there b/c it is so comfortable- though I can't say how well it will hold up since it doesn't get tons of use.
