Slap me and tell me I'm dumb...

So, last night I was opening my breast pump and the corner of the box scratched my stomach-  really painful!  I have about a 3 inch bruise along my linea negra from my belly button up-  and it was bleeding in parts!  Crazy!  Afterwards, the baby was going crazy (which was weird, because he was sleepy/quiet all day) and now I wake up and it looks like my belly button is swollen....

 There's no way I could've hurt the baby, right?  

I tried to google this but it's way specific and I just keep getting info that doesn't pertain to me.....

    Thank you.  Logically, I know that there's way too much stuff in the way for a cardboard box to scar the child.  but then there's the irrational part of me... lol...

    Can you just slap yourself for me? lol

    No seriously, you didn't hurt the baby from a scratch on your stomach...no worries. Just clean it up with some rubbing alcohol (to prevent infection) and you should be fine.

    I know, when I accidentally hit my belly with to door I usually instantly apologizing even though I know she probably didn't even feel it.

    I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have bumped my belly into things or what has bumped into my belly, lol.   Baby is fine!!
