I swear to God I'm going to kill my dad! And I'm sorry flgirl, lilmgirl and CHW, now I REALLY want Paige to break our pact and be late just to fvck with that side of the family.

My dad texted me this morning saying that his side of the family is doing Christmas on Dec 11th at my Aunt's house an hour away. Um, Okay. I told them WEEKS ago that we probably wouldn't be able to come because if she were on time she would be a week old and we wouldn't be up for the travel. So I texted him again saying we wouldn't be there for the same reasons as stated above or if she were late we would induce on the 9th. He texted back with Okay.

Fast Forward to 3 minutes ago. My dad texts me again, "When is Paige coming out of hiding?" ARE YOU FVCKING KIDDING ME?

What part of the previous text did you not understand???? It could be anywhere between NOW and Dec 9th? I dunno dad, let me climb in my vag and hold a conversation with her and see what she decides.

I refuse to text him back or answer his phone calls.

Fun times. Ya gotta love family. I don't even know how we are handling Christmas this year. We have experienced two close family deaths this year, and it's totally going to change the way we do things. I'm not looking forward to it.

And here's hoping Paige comes late... just to mess with them. And whatever the case, stick to your guns. It can be your first chance to exercise your "mom powers!"

My FIL is having a Christmas party on the 11th and I will be 9 days pp. He doesn't understand why I am hesitant about going. Sorry, but I am not going to say one way or another how I will be feeling by then and I refuse to commit to going.

This was our stance when we were first told about it and said that we couldn't commit to going if she came ON TIME. But late, NO WAY!

What is wrong with people? I've had a few friends say, "What are you doing for Christmas?" or "Keep the Sunday after Christmas free, ok?"

Um, my doctor's due date for me is December 28th (I'm clinging to my original date for my ticker.) For Christmas I am sitting at home and waiting to go into labor. I cannot make promises about attending your shindig two days before my due date.

My dad is doing the same shiit to me! He's asked me to call him after my doctor's appointments, but not to make sure everything is okay, to ask "is there any word on when he'll come out?" I feel your annoyance. He was pushing me to induce so he could schedule his time off from work around the birth....because apparently it's all about making it convenient for them. Ugh.

ughh, That is super annoying, my family is not so bad, but DH's family lives 8 hours away and is "hoping we can come home for Christmas", Ya, 12 days after my due date. "Oh those are just horror stories, you'll be fine, breastfeeding is so easy, my boys latched immediately and never had any issues or growth spurts and the baby will just sleep for the trip" Seriously, you had your last kid 30 years ago!!! And she remembers it so vividly she can tell me exactly how it will be in our case. They were visiting this weekend ( and my patience is very short these days, so it was tough) as we're sitting at lunch in the airport before they leave, she has to say, "so when are you coming home then" DH: "We don't know, it will all depend how things go" MIL: "so do you think you'll be home for christmas" DH: "probably not, but we can't say for sure". MIL: "Well what are the chances, and when?" HOLY MF!! SHUTUP!!! She just would not stop I made up some random ratios and figures to try to eventually the conversation. *Please God grant me the patience Tongue Tied
