Anyone struggling with water intake? or doing great?

I just feel like I cannot win. If I drink enough water, I pee what seems constantly. If I deny myself some of the water I *should* have, I don't need to pee nearly as much, but I feel guilty like I'm doing something wrong (not to mention increased BH).

Has anyone found a solution or do I pretty much need to suck it up and become good friends with my favorite bathroom stall?

  • It's day to day with me. One day I will drink all I need and constantly pee, the next water makes me want to gag and I don't get nearly enough. If you find a solution, please let us know, lol.

  • Im struggling with my water intake just because once I eat in the morning im limited on space in my stomach the rest of the day. It is quite the pain since if I want to try and keep up with the water then I have only little room for food and vise versa.

I notice this a little bit too - if I get the nutritional requirements I need, I also don't drink as much fluid. *sigh* I wish I knew how to solve this one.

No solution, just misery. I don't drink enough, get bad cramps, then drink enough for awhile but then I can't keep up and I go back to day with horrible cramping. My kidneys feel like they are taking a beating too, so I really need to up the intake, but it's hard.

I really wish I had the option of just having an IV hooked up at all times

This would make it great to know you were getting enough, but then I'd want a catheter too so I wouldn't have to get up and pee as much! hahaaha!

LOL and after some of the nights I have been having I would carry my pee bag around with me with pride!

  • I always have a refillable water bottle with me.  It's on my desk, or I carry it with me when I'm out and about.  It has a clip on the lid, so I can clip it to my purse.  I find that if I have easy access to it, I tend to drink more often.  I'm pretty good about drinking the water, but I don't get the full 64oz or whatever.  I drink at least 32oz a day, though.  If I don't drink frequently, my mouth gets dry.  I didn't have major issues with frequent bathroom trips until recently.  Now that baby is bigger, I have the urge to go more frequently even when bladder is not full.
2nd ectopic resulted in loss of tube. HSG revealed remaining tube is "severely torqued".

Then all we'd need is a wheelchair that has the hooks that can hold the IV and catheter bags. lol

I was going to suggest a catheter as well.

  • I went to brunch with my family yesterday.  They were all suggesting the "Stadium Pal" or appropriate device for a woman, the "Stadium gal".  I half considered it.

Water intake is a little tough.  At this point, I think nutrition goes out the window a little more though.  Sadly, I too have to choose between eating & drinking.  And LO is SUPER low - lower at each appt. actually.  I am looking forward to the freedom of a baby-free bladder zone!

  • SOLUTION:

Juice, milk, tea or coffee (both decaf, and add something for a few calories)... anything with nutritional value AND some hydrational properties.

This. I only like my water if it's almost frozen and even then it's a struggle. So I drink tons of chocolate milk, pine-orange-banana juice, and hot cocoa (made with water). I also drink kool-aid, a little sugary I know but it's liquid so it counts! I was just told that as long as it wasn't carbonated and caffeinated (ie soda) then it counts. I figure as long as my pee isn't super yellow and I feel I'm making enough trips to the bathroom then I'm doing ok.
