Ok so for the past few weeks Abby has been throwing up at night. She is pretty much fine during the day. I lay her down and about three hours later she wakes up and throws up. Sometimes she lays there and whines a little first, other times she is sound asleep and I hear her choking on the monitor. (needless to say neither one of us are well rested) She isn't doing it every night it seems to be about 2 times a week. She used to sleep pretty well for me, she had a virus and they thought the vomitting was part of it. Obviously it isn't. I plan on calling the pediatrician tomorrow but I wanted some of your thoughts first.
I have thought about a food allergy but nothing has been introduced new other then milk. She has been on milk based formula since she was born and I took her off the for about a week and she still was throwing up. I thought maybe she was just getting upset trying to put herself back to sleep since her schedule got messed up when she was sick but she doesn't always wake up and get upset, like I said sometimes it happens in her sleep.
Could it be some kind of reflux or something? I just don't know how to help her at this point.
TIA
(sorry if this doesn't make much sense you all know what it's like to be sleep deprived!)
Re: Throwing up at night...help!
There doesn't seem to be phelm but I'm not really sure I would be able to tell. And I have tried propping her up but she is a active sleeper. It never lasts longer then 2 miniutes.
