What size diapers were you buying at seven months? My amazon order for size 5 Luvs got messed up, so I had to put DS in one of DD's size 6 Luvs. I think it might fit better than the 5. Am I crazy? DD only moved into size 6 in September! What do I do if he totally outgrows diapers? Will I have to buy Depends for the poor boy?! FWIW he was 22 pounds at his six-month appointment.
Re: If you have/had a large infant
DD is in Target 4's at 27+ lbs, but Huggies I had to go to a 5 b/c they didn't fit well. Maybe try a different brand and see if a smaller size fits? '
ETA: clothes we just delt with the length. Pants get rolled and so do sleeves. She is just now finally evening out at the 95% for both weight and height, but when she was short and chubby, we just rolled everything up.
DD is in size 4 Luvs @ 21 months. She weighs about 22 lbs too.
My thinking is that he'll probably thin out and you might need a different (smaller) size of diapers when that happens.
I have average sized kids, but I agree with trying the Target brand (our favorite). Charlotte is 23 lbs. and wearing a size 3 in the Target brand.
I do believe your DS is on the same path as my DS
We were at 20+ pounds at his 6m appt. as well. I know he was in size 5s for a long time and then he started leaking in those and we moved up to a size 6. He is still in a size 6 and weighs 43lbs. He will start to plateau with his weight, especially when he starts moving! We had to roll up his pants or sleves. I did a quick hem on some of his "nicer" pants.
I've tried Luvs, Huggies, Pampers, and the Target brand. I think the kid is just big. Escape, it's good to hear that there is hope he'll fit into the size 6 diapers for a while.
Now I'm off to order some 24 month clothing. Is it bad that I now carry one unisex spare outfit in my bag?

I love it. Less to tote around! Way to be a team player, little guy!
