Does your RE require bedrest after IVF? If yes, how long?
Mine does not...but I'm prescribing bedrest for myself for today, but tomorrow back to work. I'm getting awnry laying in this bed...and googling way too many things.

day of and all the next day is mandated couch potato days!! i know the research supports both that it helps and also that it doesn't really have an effect. But if it could help, or at least make me more at ease, i'm all for it.

No, mine doesn't require it. They tell you to take it very easy the day of the transfer but after that, pretty much back to normal. I'm sure I'll take a few days off of work though..my job can be very stressful so I'm sure that wouldn't do anything any good.
Mine says day of and to not overdo it the next day for ER & ET. If by chance we actually make it to ER, I'll take the next day off anyway. I'm an elementary teacher and there is no such thing as taking it easy when you have twenty rugrats needing every minute of your life.

My RE requires 3 days strict bed rest. I stayed home/on the couch an additional 3 days and got a BFN. I'm not sure it makes a difference. Bedrest made me crazy too! I was a grump by the 3rd day.

Mine actually advises against bedrest, but just says to take it easy the first day or 2. My RE thinks that remaining in your somewhat normal routine helps. But I think next time I might lay around the first day.

Does your RE require bedrest after IVF? If yes, how long?
Yes, 3 days. the day of transfer and the next 2 days. She says a lot of places have moved to 2 and they stuck with 3 because more time cant hurt and their preg rates are higher than average so she requires it.

Yes, pretty strict bedrest for 48 hours after transfer (can only get up to use the bathroom, and can't use more than 2 pillows) ,and light activity for 5 days after that. I think they are overly-cautious, but hey, it worked!
