Fool Proof Plan to Rid of DH?

Anyone come up with a fool proof plan to get rid of DH and would like to share?  So my EDD is 12/20... DH had the bright idea that he would like to host Christmas at our house this year since we will not be traveling up north to visit our families this year.  If everyone in his extended family here in town shows up to this party (as they have in the past when we've thrown parties), it will be around 50 or so people!  If family from up north comes down for the holidays to see the baby, it will be another dozen or so. 

Aside from the fact that if I give birth on my actual due date, baby and I will/should be catching up on sleep- not ready for a flood of guests. On top of that, it's freakin Flu Season AND then there's the whooping cough epidemic.  DH and I got the pertussis booster as did his parents and my parents, but not the 50 or so other people. I don't want my baby to be the 11th baby in CA this year to die from the whooping cough.  The nurse on our labor and delivery tour added to my paranoia when she said that if any infant under 6 months gets the whooping cough "then forget it, they'll start coughing and next thing you know they'll stop breathing."  And yes, I am quoting her, and yes, DH was there with me on the tour, but he's still not concerned.

Ugh!

2nd ectopic resulted in loss of tube. HSG revealed remaining tube is "severely torqued".
IVF #1: ER 03/29/10; ET 04/01/10: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 (9dp3dt)- 45; Beta #2 (11dp3dt)- 91= BFP
FET#1: ET 04/18/12: transferred 4 embies; Beta #1: >2 = BFN
IVF #2: ER 06/20/12; ET 6/25/12: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 on 7/5/12= BFN
8/16: hysteroscopy for polyp removal
11/11: hysteroscopy #2 for yet another polyp removal
FET#2: ET 12/15/12: transferred 3 embies; Beta #1 (9dp5dt): 12/24/12: 426; Beta #2 (11dp5dt): 845= BFP
u/s 1/9= triplets!; miscarried all three on 1/10/13...

    Oh, I'd be totally annoyed if my DH offered up something like that =/ 50 People?? Is this your first? Youmight not even be on time = actual Christmas baby. GL!!

    Can you guys afford to get it catered? I'd go that route and make DH clean the house....it seems like it's a little too late to say "no" at this point.

    DH and I would have some issues to work out if he pulled that crap on me. Good luck! :)

    Oh, I would make DH do it all since it's his brilliant idea.  I was just more concerned about people constantly wanting to see and hold LO.  I want to just lock LO and myself in our bedroom and ignore everyone.  Here's hoping to a late baby (preferably after Christmas)!

    You can blame it on hormones or whatever but I would say NO!  Hell no!  No one over the house.  If you are still pregnant you aren't going to be in the mood (most likely) to entertain.  And if baby is here I would be anxious too.  There is time.  Call this off!

    No way in Hell I would let that one fly. Besides the whooping cough, that is WAY too close to your EDD. I would raise some hell!

    honestly any family member that agreed to go to your DH's xmas party is a dumb d-bag. i assume they all will know when you have the baby, and for them to be like oh imposing on them that soon after the birth is an awesome idea! makes them a dumb d-bag.

    Sorry, but your DH is off his rocker. If he wants that many people over, HE can grocery shop/clean/cook/decorate for them. I wouldn't do anything. In fact, I'd probably try to find a girlfriend to stay with until I went into labor, and then hole away in one room of the house with the baby. I would NOT be allowing my child to get passed around to that many people even if they all washed their bodies from head to toe in sanitizer. I think hiding away is your best option. You need to inform him NOW that you will not allow people to hold such a new baby. Tell them to come back next Christmas.

    Yea, I've already told DH how I feel about this, but so far he's not budging.  If baby arrives on time, I will lock us both away.  I'm also hoping that MIL will come down and knock some sense into him as well.  I'm sure she will be strongly opposed to this crazy idea.  I'm also hoping that family will have common courtesy to decline, but I have a feeling not.

    I'm thinking DH has no sense of reality.  DH tends to live in a bubble sometimes.  I also think he's really excited about LO arriving and wants to celebrate.
