Ya I'm not a big ham person either but my grandma sent DH and I home with literally Half the ham. I'm pregnant, not trying to win a weigh gain competition.
I want ham and bean soup but you shot that right in the ass.
I suggest looking up ham casseroles on Allrecipes.com
I don't know if this is poor people food or something, but we had ham and beans on a regular basis growing up. I could go the rest of my life without it. DH wants some though so I might be forced to.
Well besides the soup I usually make omelets or grilled ham and cheese. My mom makes a casserole I don't have the recipe for, but I can tell you it has the ham, potatoes, and broccoli.

Dice it up and mix it with some mayo for ham salad sandwiches. When I used to work in group homes, we would get whole hams from the food bank, and this is one of the things we would do with the leftovers.
Or just slice it thin and put it on a regular sandwich.
Oh I had to come back because you've given me a craving. At the resort we stayed in at Lake Taho they made these biscuit sandwiches for breakfast that had ham, provolone cheese and really thinly sliced red onions. They made me want to re-brush my teeth before speaking to anyone but they were sooo good.
Well, if you have a food processor or anything that can shred up meat decently, use is as a substitute for anything that uses prosciutto or pancetta (not exactly the same, but gets you in the ballpark and gets rid of the piggie). Some pasta ideas:
A pomodoro-like sauce with the shredded ham used like you'd chuck in ground beef.
Green peas with some cream based sauce (maybe a little lighter than alfredo), shredded or diced ham, some oregano to pep it up and a noodle like papparadelle, linguine or break up some lasagna noodles for pasta patches.
When I went to England, there was the bacon buttie...slice of ham (might be good if you pan seared it a little to get some carmelizing going on) sauteed mushrooms, buttered bun, all served warm....mmmmm
I don't hate ham, but I'm not a big fan of leftover ham. The only thing I would do is put it on a sandwich or something. The only reason I posted my non-advice is because for some reason the phrase "ham ideas" is making me laugh so hard I'm crying. Somebody needs a nap!

Throw it in with some fettucini alfredo--had a dish just like it in France! It was awesome.
You can also fry it up in the morning for breakfast?
Ham potato chowder. Pretty much just ham, milk, potatoes, corn, salt n pepper, and stuff to thicken.
Some sort of casserole? Ham and pineapple? Cut it up for a home made pizza?
