Hi, I'm new to this site and wanted to introduce myself. I'm Stephanie and I'm a first time mom to a beautiful baby girl born at 34 weeks. My husband Jimmy and I welcomed little Jocelyn into this world on November 24th at 2:41 am. She has been on oxygen since she was delivered by c-section. I've heard great things about this site and just want to open every possible door so my husband and I can communicate with people who have gone through and are going through the same journey we are with Jocelyn. Thanks in advance to anyone who introduces themselves! We're heading out to the hospital to visit Jocelyn for a little while.
Re: Introduction
Welcome! Congrats on your little girl. I"m fairly new to this board too but the girls have been very supportive and full of great info.
May I ask the reason for the early delivery?
In a nutshell my entire pregnancy just wasn't all that great. I was underweight the entire time, Jocelyn was underweight and I had hypermesis. I was constantly sick; every time they fixed thing 1, thing 2 would go wrong. She was delivered after a 4th time of preterm labor, and low fluid factored into it being "this time"
Thank you all so much. I'm glad there are people outside of the NICU that are available to lend assistance through our trials.
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! I'm hoping you'll have her at home soon!
Welcome to the board!
Welcome and I'm sorry you're having to join us. I hope baby Jocelyn does really well and gets home super soon. DS was a 34w5d and spent 15 days in the NICU. Feel free to ask questions or vent about anything here.
I'll also plug our private preemie board that a lot of us use: www.thepreemiepalace.com. We're here for you!
