I dread night time

I'm still on bed rest so my nights and days really shouldn't seem too different, but they do.  I have had horrible sleeping issues since July.  I'll have 3 or 4 bad nights of sleep (awake from anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 1/2 hours) and then I'll finally be so tired that I'll have a very peaceful, complete sleep on the 5th night.

Lately throw in constant trips to the bathroom, heartburn and an overall achiness/heaviness in my nether regions (usually only in the evenings) and I'm to the point of dreading bed time.

No real point to this post, but to vent- because I'm sure many of you are also experiencing the same thing these days.

Re: I dread night time

  • no fun at all, i totally understand what you mean! I am on week 5 of bed rest, and bed time is hard, because i feel like i have done nothing all day, i can fall asleep reading, but i can't stay asleep and my hips hurt from laying around!!

There's an end in sight and i keep telling myself, i will quickly forget all the bad when LO is born and in my arms!!

  • I'm so sorry, and definitely hear you. I pee 4-5 time a night, and this has been going on since I was around 3 months along. I haven't slept through the night since then. And I am so tired. I used to be the best sleeper, could sleep a solid 9 hours and feel amazing every night. But no more. It's only going to get worse once LO arrives.... but at least I'll get to enjoy him! Hang in there, we are almost there!

  • See I knew people on here would understand my gripes I have right now.  No sleep just puts me in a bad mood.

  • I'm with ya, sorry you have it, too.  My latest strategy is to not go to bed very early, in order to make sure I am tired and will more likely sleep for longer stretches of time.  Maybe try?
  • I'm not on bed rest, but lately I'm not able to sleep through the night. One night I went to sleep around 9  and thought I had slept for at least four hours. The clock said "10:30". I was so annoyed!!! Now I'm dead tired but afraid to take a nap because I know I will be up all night watching Golden Girls or Who's the Boss reruns...
