Peeing in the bath

My DD is just over 4 months old, and for the last month or so has been peeing just after I set her in her little bathtub almost every time. I am tired of draining and refilling the tub every time I give her a bath.

I have tried letting her lay naked on the changing table for a few minutes first and dunking her hand in warm water before the bath, but neither has stopped it. Any other ideas or is it something I just have to live with?

    We just live with it and get out of the line of fire.

    It's the water temp that's doing it and the fact they are put into the bath. I'm pretty sure 99% of babies do it.

    We do too.  Is it bad that we don't always drain the water?

    We live with it.

    How can you even tell? I would not bother draining the water, AYFKM? It's baby pee -- pretty harmless.

    Not only do I live with it, but I'll bath the other one in the same water right afterwards.

    Urine is mostly sterile when it comes out, unless there is a bladder infection. It's also almost all water.

    I guess you could like... dunk her in a sink of warm water and let her pee and then transfer to bath tub?

    We just deal with it and take it as a sign that she's relaxed and happy :)

    DD does it too. Most times I only fill the tub up a little bit for the first few minutes. Then when she pees there is less water to dump.

    Thanks everyone! I had this fear of being an awful mom if I let her sit in her own urine, but it's good to know I would not be the only one doing it. :)

    It's even worse when you have a boy and he pees all over your clothes and hands LOL! Stick out tongue

    We co-bathe... she has never been in a bathtub by herself, not sure if this is good or bad but it works for us so I am sure she probably pee's while playing in the bath and I am surely not going to empty an entire tub, she gets washed with soap and then momma always has her shower right after!
