Anyone use the Medela 80ml bottles

Has anyone used these to pump into, freeze, etc...

Can you clean them and reuse them?

  • Yes, but I don't think I'd freeze in them if you're planning to freeze a lot of milk. The bags are cheaper.

They have them in our pump rooms at work for moms to take... I get them free... but I want to get them and reuse them so other moms can take new ones, etc... make sense?

  • Yes, that makes sense. You can re-use them, but with any luck you'll eventually be out-pumping those bottles, anyway. Do you have any of the bigger Medela bottles to use?

Yeah I have the ones the pump came with.

Out-pumping 2.5 oz? I hope so! Seriously I need to stop worrying about my supply...

  • Stress isn't good for your supply, either. You know what IS good? Beer. Wheat beer. Dr. Jersey prescribes one every night until you stop worrying about your supply so much!

Just keep doing what you're doing, pump 20-25 minutes every 2 hours at work, pump after you feed, and you'll be ok. Besides, my supply was still increasing at that point. I don't think I maxed out until 3-4 months in.

So I should drink one right after a feeding since I don't want to pass it on to C, right?

Seriously you ladies are the best, I really appreciate all the advice!

    Don't stress about the de-stressing ;)

It's really about the stuff in the beer, and supposedly non-alcoholic beer works just as well. The darker the better.

Tell me you are serious and I'm in good company Lyons. I really do occasionally have a beer while Bfing. It only slightly crossed my mind that maybe I'm crazy. I usually only do one a day anyways. Only difference, I'm a lager girl. Mmmmm....Spaten!

I might not be serious about much, but I don't joke about my alcohol.  CHEERS! Wink
