Infant car seat straps

Hello everyone,

 I am new here.  I have a quick question for you all though.  Does anyone know if you can buy replacement straps for infant car seats?  The reason I ask is because right before we switched DD from the infant seat to her convertible car seat she got sick and vomited while in the car.  The straps took most of the blow (so to speak.)  I know you're not supposed to submerge the straps in water to clean them, but I have never been able to get the smell out. I tried water, febreeze, and airing them out for 1.5 years!  I just really don't want to have to buy a whole new car seat just for the straps.    Any information will be greatly appreciated!  TIA!
