When do you get out of survival mode?
DD is 5 weeks old and I feel like more days than not, we're not doing much more than surviving. Don't get me wrong- I love our family of 4- I just feel that between growth spurts/marathon nursing and DS constantly testing boundaries and loving his sister too much during naptimes, I lose my patience so quickly some times.
Ugh- and I've had family to help me up to now- tomorrow is my first full day alone with both kiddos and I'm more than a little scared.

at 6 months, I still feel like we're in survival mode. I'm able to do some outings, but it's limited. And NOTHING gets done around the house- oh, and one on one time with T- bedtime when I read a book- if dh is home. I'm hoping it changes a bit soon!!
Good luck and hang in there! I know where you're at with all this!

We had a good run from 2-3mos. lol Now we're in the middle of the 3mos growth spurt and L is taking it hard. S is all Christmas psycho and we're back in survival mode. I'm sure we'll get our feet under us just in time to hit the 4mo wakeful.
if nothing else, I'm glad I'm i n good company lol
DS hasn't napped in 2 months, so my dreams of productive naptimes are ou the window. I did hire a housekeeper a month ago to at least do the deep cleaning that won't get done otherwise.
I have to get to the store today and I really really want to shower- wish me luck!
