Stocking question

How do you hang your stockings? We have the stocking hangers that my family had when I was younger (this is one of them)- they're not that heavy (therefore not that sturdy) and barely hold the stockings up. This year, with Noah running around like a crazy man and grabbing at everything, I'm considering a different temporary method.

Has anyone tried using small command hooks on the TOP of the mantle? That way the stockings will hang over the edge? I figure Noah *shouldn't* be anle to yank that down, and if he does it's not something that can hurt him.

Thoughts?

FWIW, these are our stockings- they are longer than the usual stockings (oh, and $.50 each- BOOYAH!):

Re: Stocking question

  • We don't have a real mantle, so we always hang them off the top of our tall bookcase which is next to where we put the tree.  They are out of reach of the kids so we just use our stocking hangers.

  • Command hooks work great!  Though they don't keep kitties from playing with the stockings and accidentally knocking them off but........
