When did your child get their first haircut?

DS just turned one the other day and his hair is starting to get a little long. It is not long yet to mix him up with a girl it is just that it is starting to get that little curl in the back. He does not have a ton of hair (average) .When did your child get their first hair cut?

DS is 15 months and still doesn't have enough hair for a cut. Maybe he'll be 2? lol

Professionally - not yet. Trimming of the bangs - @ six months and eight months.

Personally, I love boys with longer hair, but I can see how it would be annoying to correct people if they think a boy is a girl.

No haircut planned any time soon, there is not enough hair. I didn't have any hair until I was 2, so I am not holding my breath.

We brought both boys in at about a year and a half for a cut, and really it was more like a trim just to even it out.

The nanny keeps asking (jokingly) when I'm going to cut her hair. I'm just not ready yet...it may be a few years before I'm ready to cut that fine baby hair of hers. It's too sweet to cut.

DS was about 11 mos and yep, he had the ducktail. DD was more like 18-19 mos. I was so scarred by the experience (bangs were a MISTAKE) that she didn't get her hair cut for another year.

DS1 has a whole lotta hair and was already being mistaken for a girl starting at about 6 months. It irked me, but pi$$ed my DH off. It wasn't so bad when people mistook him for a girl it was more the comments after we corrected them, "Awww, but he's so adorable he sure DOES look like a girl" or "Some girls would love those beautiful long curls of his." Anywho, I had heard it was bad luck to give your LO their first haircut before the age of one, so I waited ...... until the next day. hahaha
