my water is going to break. I didn't even think it was that common for it to actually break, but all these ladies having waterbreaking birth stories have me freaked out a little. And the whole gushing out like movies, I thought that was a lie too.
It use to be my fear that I would look down a see a hand hanging out or something
so maybe this is a little better
Re: I have a huge fear that every time I stand up..
I do the same thing. I stand up and wait a second or two before moving.
I think being on The Bump makes the anxiety worse because you are exposed to an insane amount of women going through the same things as you and the rate of it happening is exponential compared to that of your everyday life.
At least you'd know for sure you were going into labor!
But really, this sounds so freaking weird, but it was kind of exciting for it to happen quick like that. All of a sudden it was happening...he was coming that day!
So, its a blessing and a curse.

honestly I keep thinking how I am going to clean it up fast enough so it doesn't ruin all of our laminate flooring

I wonder....
Ohh Idea!!
Get a garbage bag. Cut leg holes at the bottom and seal them with tape at your ankles.
ohh kinda like some hammer pants?

Haha, I have a vague memory of something like this but I can't really think what it was about.
Yup! Think there's a market for those?
My husband has already started insisting that any time I'm on the couch I sit on this pad we have so in case my water breaks it doesn't go all over the couch. I get his concern but really if my water breaks when I'm on the couch (which I am all the time because I'm on modified bedrest) I don't think that pad is going to help all that much! LOL
I was up earlier attempting to do some laundry and had this vision of me bending over to take stuff out of the dryer and my water breaking. I LOL'd and thought to myself "well at least it would be on the tile".
You won't care. Plus, its clear. Its not like its going to stain anything. Don't worry!

Absolutely!! Can't break this!
If not I am sure we can make them and sell them on etsy or something. I kinda need some extra money right now...

Or you could just wait it out...

Everytime I get up to pee I keep hoping my water will break, haha.
I just really want to go into labor by myself rather than be induced.
Loves, I cant believe we are 39w +.

Just as a heads up, that feeling never really goes away. My kid is 4 weeks old and I still look at him and think, "This is F-ING NUTS!"

OSC - I cannot believe it has been 4 weeks! That is definitely nuts!
Uh, yes. I don't believe I will be pushing a kid out my vag. soon.
I know I see my belly and I can feel her moving, but the thought that she is going to come out of there really doesn't cross my mind.

I have these thoughts now. I keep saying to DH "omg, were going to have a little human. Were taking on the greatest responsibilty EVER."
Cooper+Evie=Soulmates

Isn't it ridiculous? lol
DH and I actually had an argument the other day about when he would be a month old. Today, he's four weeks, but technically he'll be a month old on the 31st. There isn't a 31st of November though. So is he a month old on the 30th or December 1st?
Ridiculous argument. Thank you, lack of sleep!

When Charlie was in the NICU it felt like we were babysitting since we came and went all the time. It was so strange and surreal to take him home. Its not until they get home that the, "Okay...what do we do with him??" sets in!

This sounds like a fight Mr.MM and I would have.
I can only imagine!
I just got done saying to DH "Im so glad that Charlie is ok and home now." I was so sad for you when you had to keep leaving him!
Cooper+Evie=Soulmates

My water broke when I was in bed, which was my biggest fear! I managed to back out of bed, butt first and walk with my legs together to the bathroom so I didn't actually leak anywhere. It was super klassy of me! As I was sitting on the toilet, because I wasn't about to get up and drip all over, DH actually checked the bed to make sure I didn't get it anywhere. He was so relieved it was dry!
I will say that I had to make many runs to the bathroom while we got our bags together and threw in the last minute items. I was super thankful I already had the huge pads I was going to use postpartum...they were a lifesaver!
And s/o "OMG when did this happen?!?"...I've had an outside baby for a week and look at DH everyday and say "How did she get here?! what are we thinking?! Can we do this?!" It's all a pretty overwhelming, in an amazing and scary way all at one time. But I wouldn't trade her and our life for anything!
I might just resort to wearing fishing waders... lol
