Hi Everyone,
I am not sure if Sam's Club, Costco, and BJ's are all the same but my guess is they are similar. We would like to have cupcakes at the shower. We tried a gourmet cupcake shop over the weekend and we were not impressed. Very expensive muffins basically. I can make a better cupcake out of a box. LOL However my mom and sister don't want to do that for the shower--basically due to time and distance.
I have tried Sam's Club sheet cakes and numerous parties over the years but have never had their cupcakes----they make them fresh to order but would like anyone's input....Have you had them? Vanilla/Buttercream? Are they good? For 30 cupcakes its $13...seems like a pretty good deal to me.
Any opinions would be great.
Robyn
Re: Cupcakes from Sam's Club
We have a Sam's and a BJ's in my area and the bakeries at both just suck. Any cakes and cupcakes I've had from both are really dry and the icing is sickly sweet. But that's not to say that the clubs somewhere else aren't fine.
You might want to ask around your area (can you ask co-workers what they think) or pick up a little box of cupcakes and test them out for yourself.

If you like the sheet cake you'll like the cupcakes. I order them all the time for work and they always turn out great. We did 390 for our wedding reception for my students and their parents (I'm a youth leader and couldn't afford to invite 200 students and families to the actual reception) and they were a hit. You can choose frosting colors and very cheaply add a little decoration to suit your needs perfectly. And seriously, you can't beat that price!
Good luck and have fun!
Been away from theBump for a while, getting active again for all the good advice
This exactly, they are very big but yummy and always fresh.
