Nah- I don't know if I really buy into the whole reading/music to the bump thing. I sometimes talk to them, like if they're moving a lot and my DS likes to say Hi and give them "kissies" but that's about it.
I never really read to it or played music, but I go back and forth to Buffalo a lot, so sometimes when I was driving I would talk to the bump, or sing and car-dance haha. DH used to kiss my belly occasionally. It was never a serious routine.
I hardly ever talked to my bump. I work in a retail job and have to talk all day, so I figured she heard my voice plenty.
I did play a pull-string musical stuffed animal against my belly each night though. We have it in her crib and she pulls it herself when trying to fall asleep, it is cute. Who knows if she recognized the song, bc she likes all music, but she did quiet down and listen as an infant to it as well. I think I started that around 3 months or so - it was one of the first baby items I bought.
Re: start reading?
My bump gets a lot of Xmas music, haha.
