DH is watching it On Demand. In the last episode, a man then was describing how his wife kept alive their premature daughter and I burst into tears. This episode? Infertility totally out of left field. Again with the waterworks. Ugh, PMS much?

What, what? I'm totally obsessed with that show and don't remember that part. It was last week's episode?
I remember the part about infertility... at the very least, makes you so glad we live in a time where we have so much more knowledge and options, right? I mean, back then, if you had so much as a simple progesterone deficiency, you were 99% SOL and would probably never carry to term without a miracle.
July 20th, 2012: Never forget the day the fb douchebags tried so hard, but ultimately failed. Viva la October 2011! Yeah, I called you douchebags.

I'm not sure, we only watch it On Demand...it's the FBI agent and his wife over breakfast.
OK, I remember the episode about the man who's wife couldn't get KU and wanted to have a surgery to correct her infertility. But I don't remember the one about a premature baby being kept alive. Am I missing something? Also, I'm in love with Jimmy!

Seriously. If it weren't for advances in medicine over the past 20-30 years, my DD not only wouldn't have survived birth, she wouldn't have even been conceived. I think about it every day.

Oooh OK, yeah it's just a little story, it's the guy who was going to gets Nucky's dad's house, he says it when they're sitting down to tea right before Lucy barges in and sluts it up.
I saw those episodes. I saw a "behind the scenes" about the baby incubators and they were half-live saving and half side show.
I'll have to keep an eye out for that. As a preemie mom, it hits pretty close to home. It's strange to think of your child as potential for a side show, but I suppose she did get a lot of attention when she was really small.
I love how it shows different aspects of life in general in that era. I don't remember the part about keeping the premature baby alive, but I do remember them having the baby incubators on display in a shop and how horrible I felt for Nelson's wife when she was pleading for him to allow her to have the surgery.
Jimmy isn't too bad to look at either

Jimmy = Leo DiCaprio circa Titanic = swoon
OK, I remember now.
That's funny, cause DH just said last week that he kinda looks like Leo Dicaprio!! Too funny!
I am in love with Boardwalk Empire!
