I hate the sheets we got for our wedding.
They are soft (from BB&B), but they wrinkle like mad, and the sizing is just weird. We have 2 of the exact same kind and one is sized way off and they are impossible to get on the bed. They could stand to be replaced now.
So, tell me, what sheets are best?
Has anyone tried Costco's Kirkland brand? They felt soft and are on sale this week. No clue about sizing/wrinkles though.
Re: sheets - need recs
we bought these sheets(in ivory) at JcPenneys a couple of months ago and they are amazing! Honestly the higher the thread count the softer they are.

We did the gift card shuffle at BBB so that we got these amazing Eucalyptus sheets. They were $100 for the queen set, but are absolutely amazing. They're very true to size, have plenty of sheet but not too much and are so ridiculously soft. Seriously, every other night DH remarks about how much he loves them. And we used a 20% off coupon, so they were $80.
A few weeks ago, we were in Cincy for my work and stayed with a family that had amazing sheets. We asked our hostess about them and they were from BBB too, the Beech Jersey ones. I saw them when I was there a few weeks ago and they were maybe $15 cheaper than the Eucalyptus ones. They're like a jersey knit, but more silky feeling. We'd love a set of those as a backup set.
GL!
I have these, they are several years old and by far my favorite sheet set.

Just be careful of overly high thread counts - they often split the fibers to fudge the numbers, so those 1000+ ones you see at mainstream places just don't hold up.
My absolutely favorite sheets are the sateen ones from BB&B, but I can't remember the exact thread count. I don't pay attention to wrinkling, though, so if that's important to you then these might not be the best choice.
I vote for the beech/modal sheets from Bed bath and beyond!

We've had the sateen and silk for summer and the knit and jersey for winter. LOVE them and they get softer as you wash/use them.
If you're looking for good value for price, I have found the best deals on sheets at Marshall's and TJMaxx. Look for 100% Pima(or supima) cotton or sateen with a good thread count (and don't go overboard, because yes, some companies do fudge on TC), and open the packages and feel for yourself.
Personally, I love me some Ralph Lauren sheets, but I only buy them when they're at one of those stores or at the outlet. Forget paying full price, lol!
