I am pretty certain that this has not been our month & I am expecting AF during the week. I want to get going on charting from next cd1 (should be Thursday). I have not watched the FF instructional vids yet - I am planning on doing it today though. In the meantime if any of you have any advice/words of wisdom on charting, I would be very grateful to hear it! You ladies are mine of information, so would love to know your thoughts & what has helped you. Thanks!
Re: Any advice about FF & charting
1-Pick up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. (sp?)
2-Buy a basal thermometer (BBT)
3-Buy some internet cheapie ovulation prediction strips (I like to get them from early pregnancy tests.com)
4-Get familiar with your cervix.
Good luck!
Definitely take the charting courses on FF, but the best thing for me was just to do it for myself and get used to it through practice. You can read tons about charting and get a lot of good info, but it won't really mean a whole lot until you do it for yourself for a cycle.
Also, I spent a lot of time looking through the chart gallery when I first started. It satisfied my need to constantly be staring at a chart, and allowed me to see a lot of variation in other women's charts, which helped me to interpret my own.
Good luck!
