The whole runny nose thing, I think is a real symptom too. Out of the blue one day (two days before my BFP) I was getting ready to go into the mall when my nose started pouring. Wasn't sick or anything, and it only lasted like 20 mins, but managed to go through half a box of tissue. Why I had a box of tissue in the car, I don't know, but good thing.

Yes! This is real. Within 24-48 hours of conception, a protein called early pregnancy factor (EPF) is released. This acts as an immunosuppressant so that your body won't try to attack the egg as it implants. Immunosuppressants can make you more susceptible to things like the common cold, hence the runny nose and cold symptoms for some ladies.

It's known as pregnancy rhinitis. Of course, many of us just have running noses and sinus colds, especially this time of year, so it's one of those symptoms that can really only be diagnosed after the fact (like implantation bleeding).
I know my sinuses have been way worse since I got pregnant. Not that I didn't have problems with them before, but the drainage has probably quadrupled. I think that's whats actually irritating my stomach more than m/s lol.
I've also had a lot more nose mucus than usual for me. My nose tends to be painfully dry, but now its really (gross I know) sticky and wet. I feel like a kid with a runny nose, constantly wiping with tissues and what not!
