I feel so bad for my LO, because her face is full of them too. I'm not sure how long they last, but I was wondering if there is anything we can do for them or maybe there is something that I should try to avoid that is causing them??

My baby got them at about 4 weeks old. She is now 7 weeks and they are gone. From what I have read, there is nothing you can do. Just wipe your LO's face with a damp cloth 2-3 times a day. The acne is caused by your residual hormones.
There is nothing you can do to prevent or help baby acne, it just has to run its course. Dont try to pop them or over wash their face though, that would cause more irritation.

I was told by my mom just before the zits came in that the baby zits are normal and are a result of the residual hormones from me. So I figured the only thing that really helps with them is the hormones dying down. I was just wondering how long it might take. My mom actually was wondering how long until my LO would start getting baby zits a day or 2 before she got them.
Our LO had them at a couple days old til almost 2 mos. old. He didn't have them real bad just on his nose and under his eyes on his cheeks. We would wipe his face few times a day just with a baby wipe.
Our daughter had them for a good month as well. I wiped her face a few times a day with a damp cloth and believe it or not, put a little breast milk on it and it really helped. I was skeptical at first when I was told to do this but it worked. To try it out I put some on one zit in the morning and by early evening it was practically gone! Breast milk is like a miracle liquid - even when she scratches her face I put a little on it and it is healed in no time.
My little man got them pretty bad starting about 2 weeks and they had pretty much cleared by 6 weeks. His cheeks got pretty dry at the same time and a little bit of Aquaphor did the trick.

I would discourage this. You really shouldn't be using soap on baby's face.
