Trying to Get Pregnant

New to TTGP and a question

Hi ladies! New to TTGP :-) And i have a question... I am 5 days post ovulation... And cramping... I *think* I remember cramping with my kids ( I have two children) but it's been a while, so I can't remember! Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Re: New to TTGP and a question

  • Welcome!

We can't tell you if you're PG.  Cramping is common in the 2WW.

We call those "phantom symptoms" around here.  We all tend to notice them, unfortunately!  :)

  • If you are, in fact, 5dpo, that would be a bit too early for implantation cramping or anything like that.  Implantation usually occurs 7-10dpo.  If you aren't sure of when you O'd, maybe it's ovulation pain?

Mchupie, I'm pretty sure you've given that exact same advice no less than 1/2 dozen times in the past two days :)  Lots of implantation dips and cramps lately (wish I could say the same for myself)!

OP, if you're curious about when you're O-ing, etc.  Charting with fertility friend is one of the best and most accurate ways to find out.  Good luck!

Right now it isn't really a symptom of anything as it is too early for anything to happen.  In a few days it could turn into a phantom symptom.  How do you know you O'd?

Worked great the first two times...
  • do you think you have implantation cramping? because most of these women won't know what that feels like as most of them have never been pregnant.    I had Implantation cramping with my DS it is a sharp quick pain that lasts a few seconds then goes away...I had it for a day or two before I tested positive on a hpt.

Hey, if you've got supersonic ovulation detectors then more power to you!  Hopefully your cramps do turn into phantom symptoms that turn into a BFP.  If not FF is still a great place to track your O dates, symptoms, etc.

Yes, except that implantation doesn't happen for 7-10DPO...

I to know when I ovulate because I don't ovulate every month when I do I get a dull pain on either my right or left side...My last pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage the month I conceived I knew when I ovulated!

LOL I think you're right!  I've done extensive research on conception, implantation and early signs of pregnancy because I find it to be so interesting.  It's hard not to share :)

A lot of women have ovulation pain.  It can happen days before, the day of, or days after you ovulate, though.  No guarantee it is happening as you are ovulating.  The only way to confirm that you actually O when you have the pain is through temping.
