Screaming neighbors >:-|

Holy Hannah, our neighbors are ridiculous.  We share a wall with them.  They scream at each other for hours on end at least 3-4 times a week.  Sometimes all day, like today.  Sometimes in the middle of the night.  Lately they've started turning up their music during the screaming matches, I guess thinking it would cover them up.  Except then, their loud, obnoxious music becomes a soundtrack for their fights.

I'm torn between feeling bad for them, and telling them to shut the F up already.

    I have no idea what they're screaming about.  I will admit that I've pressed my ear up against the wall a couple times Embarrassed, but it's mostly muffled.

    We rent, so I could file a complaint with the leasing office, but we are the only ones who share a wall with them and I will admit I'm kind of scared of the guy.  He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who plays well with others, if you know what I mean.  We also hear banging a lot.  I don't know what the hell they are doing over there...

    That is so irritating! I hear my neighbors having sex just about every night. It is the most horrific sound. I feel like my ears bleed when they go at it. Oh the joys of sharing walls.

    I can't bold on my phone but scary guy + screaming matches + banging + trying to cover the noise up = a phone call IMO. If not for yourself then for his wife.

    I know you're right, lopes.  We had neighbors like this a few years back, and we called both the office and the cops quite a few times, and all that ever happened is the guy started asking my husband if he knew who called and getting all weird...luckily we moved out a couple months after they moved in, but people are crazy and I don't know how I involved I'm willing to get.  I don't doubt that some of these crazies around here would start screwing with our cars, or harassing us if they thought we were involved in a police visit.  It would obviously be us that would call, nobody else shares a wall with them.  I'm not sure what to do.

    I often like to listen in when my neighbors fight. Last christmas eve they were screaming about something in front of our building. Apparently the boyfriend got caught with another female party guest. It was intense. The woman who lives in the apartment beneath ours is an elderly woman who lives alone. She is always talking extremely loudly and yelling and slamming things and we are woken up often by her drilling...yes, drilling...during the wee hours of the morning. Its really annoying but kind of sad too.
