Yesterday we were at AC Moore and I had to sneeze. When I sneeze I hold my nose shut. No idea why, I've done it my whole life. Well as soon as I sneezed I got a horrible pain in my tail bone. Now every time I stand up from sitting, my tail bone aches for a couple seconds. I was so bad last night when I tried to stand up that I was almost in tears. I took some Tylenol right before work yesterday, but I don't know if it worked b/c I;m a cashier and I stood for the whole 6 hours. I just sneezed a couple times and got the same pain. Anyone else have this happen? I can't avoid it b/c I have to sit at some point. I don't know how to soothe it.

    I hate sneezing audibly!!!  I used to do this too; but then I decided I liked my hearing better and the pressure on my eardrums was scary so I stopped doing that!!!  I can't honestly say I've heard of you tailbone hurting though!!! Maybe you just pulled a muscle in your butt!!  Good luck!!!

    I would talk to your Dr. or chiropractor about this.  I have never heard of this happening before.  Sorry!

    I don't know how or why it would hurt your tailbone, but I can say that its not good (I won't preach too much) but after going to school for audiology and deaf education... you can rupture your ear drum or damage your hearing.  Not good idea to do this ladies...  its very dangerous.  Just my two cents... I'm done now.
