Brigham & Womens Midwives or natural friendly OB ?

Any reccomendations or warnings ?  I was looking into Mt Auburn, but I may not be able to use that specific hospital.

Thanks !

  • I had my son at Brigham and Womans hospital and honestly i would NEVER go back and i NEVER recommended it to anyone. I was scheduled for a c-section for which they require you to call ahead of time to make sure they have room for you. (at the time i lived in Salisbury which is about an hour away..without traffic). When i called i was given the ok to come in, but knew i was not allowed to eat anything. We arrived at 9 am Friday August 17. I was told to take a seat in the lobby and we would be taken upstairs in a few minutes. At 1pm we were finally brought upstairs and placed in another waiting room that looked like a room inside of an emergency room. I was induced and after an hour told that i needed to go home because there were no beds. i refused to leave because its an hour away and they had just induced me. at 7pm, the doctor broke my water by inducing me a second time. When i told the doctor she had broke my water she turned to me and said, "no you urinated". i argued with her for a minute before she got some sort of test strip to determine she had infact broke my water. At 12am they checked me and i hadn't dilated, but asked if i wanted an epidural. they did that and sent me back to the room. After many many hours, a nurse came in and told me i had developed a fever and that mine and my sons heart rate were decreasing and ASKED me, not told me ASKED me if i wanted to do the c-section then, which is what i was there for originally.  They got me in and my son was finally here at 3:05am Sunday August 19.   i had to stay in the hospital 4 days... in which time my son was in the NIC unit, i visited multiple times a day and was happy to finally go home. However, upon leaving i asked if the circumcision had been done as well as any shots or anything else. i was told no and they hadn't had us fill anything out for the birth certificate either. we waited an extra 4 hours to leave, and then were rushed out because another person needed my room.Honestly, i wouldn't ever go back to this hospital for ANYTHING ever again.
