We're doing mossy green walls with white, oatmeal, and chocolate accents throughout the room. I had such a tough time finding anything that was just a solid ivory color!
We didn't get a bedding set, since we wouldn't use the bumper or comforter. We bought a crib skirt and curtain from Target and bought fitted sheets that are in similar colors, but not theme-matchy-matchy from Buy, Buy, Baby. I think going non-set is probably the key to avoiding themes.
Pottery Barn Kids..but if you don't want a theme per se you could just buy seperates..i would get a crib sheet which is pretty easy to find without a theme just standard colors...and then a crib skirt..i would forgo the bumper and blanket.
We got our bedding through this website. They are a Canadian company but they do ship to the U.S.
The good thing about them as well is that you don't have to buy the full sets, so if you aren't going to use the bumper pads, you don't have to purchase them. We just purchased the bed skirt, blanket and mobile, and just bought matching sheets from BRU.
I forgot to add, the link shows the basic products they have but there is also another website that shows the seperate pieces that you can buy (link below)
I found a set I really liked on the BRU website. It was way more than I wanted to pay for it, and I knew no one else would buy it for us since it was so pricey. I had given up hope on it, especially when a few weeks after they jacked the price up an extra $20, so I started browsing the ebay stores! I got lucky found the exact same bedding set (brand new, with tags from an actual ebay store) for $80 cheaper plus free shipping!! I was so excited!!!
But I know how you feel, once I had given up on the set I really wanted I had a hard time finding another I really liked!
Re: where did you get your bedding?
This is what we registered for and it looks like someone bought it for us:
