I'm finally watching The Great Sperm Race and I saw the part where sperm gets attacked because it is foreign to the body. Does this mean that a woman's immune system plays a big part? Like if you don't have a great immune system, then maybe you are more likely to get pregnant?
My friend who has always gets KU on her 1st try is ALWAYS sick. It seems like she has a cold every other week.
I don't know anything about this so I was just wondering.
Re: maybe a dumb question?
Yup. Restrict all use of vitamins that boost your immunity while TTC.
I kid, I kid. I believe it has to do more with the acidity than your immune system.
I would love to think that is the case, because I have horrible immune system. Last year this time of year I was sick for three months straight! This year I have just had stuffy runny nose since umm....April lol. Just now starting to develop a cough though!!
Hopes we all have bad immune systems until we conceive haha jk
Her point was that if your body's imune system was weak than maybe it wouldn't fight off the sperm (the thing that is invading). Someone that gets sick often may have a weak immune system. That is how getting sick would have to do with it.
OP: I'm not sure if this is true or not, but it seems logical.

It definitely seems like that would make sense, but I'm sure it's more specific than that. It seems to be against the laws of nature to allow the most sickly people to procreate more easily, you know?
Any biologists want to throw in their 2 cents to satisfy my curiosity on this? (AKA save me the trouble of looking it up myself :P)
