Baking question

I hope I can phrase this in a way that is understandable...

I am baking blondies for my office cookie exchange. Each batch makes 16 bars. I need to make 4 batches to have enough bars to exchange.

Can I just throw 4 times the ingredients in the bowl, or do I need to measure everything out separately 4 times (ie, make 4 batches)?

I feel like I should know this...

Re: Baking question

  • I would honestly make 4 batches. I always screw up the math when I try to do too many batches.  Maybe just double it and make 2 batches?

    This.

Scaling up may be a problem, better to avoid it as much as you can. Plus I don't know if I'd have a bowl big enough to mix 4 batches worth of blondie dough at once!

  • Crap. Good point. Especially considering I only have a hand mixer to mix with. Well, even doing double batches will help me out...

  • The most I have ever done is double a recipe.
