Does your baby kick a lot?

Other than the scary no movement day this kid is forever moving around. I don't remember DS moving around quite so much but certainly not so early. He used to dance around a lot to music while this kid seems to move around whenever I'm talking. I'm a teacher so I talk constantly at work and I'm constantly talking to DS at home.

Even my dr. and the dr. who did my last u/s said this kiddo is constantly in motion. Smile

Re: Does your baby kick a lot?

  • I feel her moving quite a bit, I have felt movement since end of week 16 which I know was pretty early.  Doc said it was a very active baby during doppler and then when we had our anatomy scan she would not sit still and gave the nurse a very hard time.  I guess we are in for it with this little girl, we will be chasing her all over heck and creation and I can't wait =)

  • Peanut doesn't kick so much but I do feel movement through out the day. This morning he/she must have been pushing something out because I got this really tight feeling in one spot on my stomach and it felt really hard lol. I was like.. what are you doing?? Luckily he/she pretty much cooperated for the tech at our ultrasound except that she had a hard time getting a pic of the spine because peanut was laying right on it's back lol.

I feel the same way about this LO!  I don't remember DS moving this much this early on!  I can already feel it when it does a somersault or moves positions, and it is constantly poking an arm or leg out.  So cool.  I can also already feel hard little body parts, much different than with DS, with whom I couldn't feel stuff like that until much farther along.  That's the only good thing about the already stretched out abdominal muscles : )... I can feel the baby parts already!

It is so cool, I agree. DS and I watched my stomach moving this morning and I know that didn't happen this early on last time. I think it freaked him out a bit since he kept poking me in the belly button to try to make the movement stop.  Nothing like getting pushed around by your kids from all over!

  • She is moving ALL the time!  My ultrasound technician even commented on the amount of movement, saying I'm in for it ;)   It is SUPER distracting, I'm a HS English teacher and she loves to go nuts when we're having class discussion or lecture.  Hard to focus on The Scarlet Letter when there's Riverdance going on in there!

  • I'm definitely feeling a lot more, a lot earlier this time around.

I think my stomach muscles - which used to be relatively strong - are just complete mush now and so I can feel every little thing.  :-)

I have this issue at work lol! Talking on the phone to someone and peanut is squirming around.. very hard to concentrate on what the person is saying lol. I love it though!

  • I'm not sure if it's comparatively a lot, but it seems like the Munchkin is hyper practically all the time these days.  Especially early in the morning, while I'm hanging out on the couch/computer at night, and when I first lay down for bed.  He doesn't at all appreciate the laptop encroaching on HIS space.  :D

  • mine comes in waves. I notice he is more active in the early AM, after I eat, and at night just before i go to bed.

Now he kicks and moves on how i sit or bend down to pick up things.

Oh the other day I was poking him and as soon i lifted my finger he would kick back. But as soon i try to feel him kick he would stop.

  • I only started feeling what I recognized for SURE as movement within the past week, although I realize now that I was feeling movement for the past few week.

Last night for the first time I felt movement from the outside. Little taps. It was awesome!! My jaw just dropped.

She seems to move around the most late at night when I'm in bed, but I randomly feel movement throughout the day.

  • Not really yet.  I feel him move a bit at random points throughout the day but they're not big, constant movements.  He was pretty calm during both our NT and anatomy scans, some minor movement but mostly just lying on his little arm and chilling in there.  So far he seems to be a relaxed baby but we'll see how true that is once he comes out.

This is also my first pregnancy so I'll probably be able to feel a lot more in the next 8 weeks.

  • He moves around the most when I'm trying to sleep. It cracks me up, because if I wake up in the middle of the night to pee, he immediately starts going crazy in there!
