Hi I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving, for all of my original friends you may recall that I have a 21 yo DD and now Callie, 15 months old. Well it wss an amazing Thanksgiving and all my family (very small as we are) were together. My 21 yo goes away for college and then this morning at 12:30 am my Grandma passed away. It is sad because my mom is an only child, her sister died almost 20 years ago. So mom feels lost and alone. I am trying to help in anyway I can but mom does not want any help. The funeral is Sunday and my family is Jewish so we will sit shiva afterwards. I guess Grandma knew everyone was in town and her timing was smiling on us. She has been sick for a long time so this was not a shock but still so sad.

Amy, I'm so sorry for your loss and for your mom. I'm glad your family is around to support you, but I know it will be hard for you. There is something comforting about the Shiva services. I know I found some after my grandmother died in January.
