New July momma! question...

hello ladies!! little back story/intro before my question ;)

I just turned 28 today and have a 4 year old and 2 year old. i'm in nursing school and just quit my part time job to focus on school. Welp, last month I had sinus infection and was on Amoxicillian...I also take Yaz for birth control. So imgaine my complete suprize (or terror) when I got a positive pregnancy test last Sunday!! I then took about 4 more and called my doctor on Monday. I thought I had my period this month, so I was/am in shock!

My question is on Monday my Beta level was 642, and Yesterday it was 1973. I would be exactly 5 weeka today. I was napping when they called with the results yesterday and just got  message of the level and they were closed when I called back...so is this a good increase, the actual number seem low? i've googled it and it seem to be, but I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with Beta levels? I'm nervous since I took the rest of the months birth control and thought I had  period. I'm going to call them back tomorrow to see what's next!

 Thank you ladies :)

  • I think as long as they're increasing then that's good.

  • Those are great numbers.  Your doubling time was 30 hours - which is great.

  • I only had 1 draw for confirmation of pregnancy but I had mine drawn at exactly 5 weeks & mine was 1,098.

ETA- I have a 2 1/2 year old son & a daughter who turns 5 in a few weeks, I know exactly what you mean about the surprise, oddest part is I was also on Yaz when I got pregnant this time but I didnt take any antibiotics I think I just had a super strong egg bust through lol Ill never trust a pill again!
