Trying to Get Pregnant

New to this please help!

Hello, I'm very new to this as I've only been trying for a month. I'm trying to figure out when I'll be ovulating but my period has me confused. I have a regular 28 day cycle (I guess?)  but I can't figure out if my period starts the day I spot or the day I actually bleed. I always spot for 2 days and then on the 3rd day I have a heavy flow for the following 2-3 days. So is the first day of my period the spotting days or the heavy bleeding day?

Please help this is frustrating!  Thank you!

Re: New to this please help!

  • Hello, you should read the newbie link, then click on one of our Fertility Friend siggy's and start charting. Temping is the only way to know when and if you ovulated.
  • Loading the player...
  • I believe CD 1 is the first day of actual flow.  when you need a tampon or pad.

sign up though fertility friend (through a ticker) and take some tutorials they have.  you will learn a lot!

I have the same problem of not being able to determine CD1...to add to the above, it's the first day of RED flow.  I hope this helps : )

  • The first day you need a tampon or pad, that is when CD1 starts.
