I'm probably going to mix the pecan pies tomorrow and cook them Thursday morning.
DH's family is being slow to tell us what we need to bring. His mom keeps putting us off so I'm gonna have to make a decision based on the current menu I guess.
I plan on baking a coconut cake tonight & a red velvet tomorrow. I will bake my potato casserole and sweet potato casserole on Thursday. Gosh, just thinking about it makes me hungry!!!

DH injected the turkeys last night...I will shred the cheese for the mac and cheese tomorrow...the peach cobbler is always last...I may even have it in the oven while we are eating.
I have the pecan and the pumpkin pies in the freezer, along with the rolls. We'll make the sweet potato casserole on Thursday and bake a ham on Saturday.

Not yet and I still have to go to the store to buy all the ingredients too. I'm keeping it simple this year because of the baby and just making 3 things... Cream Cheese Corn, Sweet Potato Souffle and Paula Deen's Ooey Gooey Pumpkin Butter Cake. I'm also doing the bread, but that's easy and providing the cranberry sauce and gravy, but those will be store bought. The hardest part about T-Day for me this year is that it will be at our house. I'm honestly considering using paper plates so that we can avoid all the dish washing afterward! Kinda tacky, I know, but I just need to sinmplify this year for my own sanity!

Yeah Monica, that's keeping it simple! LOL!
I'm accustommed to Thanksgiving with sometimes 30+ people so it's most of the time always paper plates. So I guess we're tacky every year then. Honestly, I'm sure your family will understand! Or they'll offer to clean up for you.

Lol yeah we always have 30-40 people at Thanksgiving so it's definitely paper plates for us too. I think they'll understand and if they want real china tell them they can wash the dishes

Not tacky at all. We always use Chinet platters. With all the work put into prep and cooking, an easy cleanup is always preferred.
I started cooking last month and have sweet potato casserole in the freezer and made my dressing on Sunday. Just made my rum cake. The only thing I will have to make from scratch the day of is creamed spinach and corn casserole. Then I will just have to bake the dressing and sweet potato casserole. I cook the turkey breast in a slow cooker and never worry with basting. Should be an easy day of cooking. I can't wait to eat!
I'm sorry y'all...I hope I didn't offend anyone with the tacky comment! Our T-Day usually only consists of 10 adults plus kids so we have always used real dishes. We did use paper last night and it was so great when it came to clean-up time! I think we need to make paper plates a tradition!

No cooking yet, but all of my groceries are bought.
I will probably make the deviled eggs tomorrow night so they can chill overnight and then the casserole that morning.
